1. How many photographers will be taking photos?
I, Charl Smith, will be the only
official photographer at the wedding. In
the last 200 weddings I did, I had to use a second shooter only 3 times because
of the size of the wedding. I prefer to work
with an assistant to assist with all the equipment (camera and lighting). Be
aware of “companies” that will offer you 2 photographers for the price of
one. There are so many people “becoming”
photographers these days, they offer to second shoot for FREE and then some
photographers will “sell” that to you as a second photographer.
2. How long will we have to wait for the printed photos?
PHOTO PACKAGES:
For photo packages you will have to
wait 6-8 weeks. I print everything that
is part of the package.
STORYBOOK PACKAGES:
Photo editing takes 6-8 weeks. Album layout takes 4-6 weeks (then you will
come and view the layout –Personal layout option) At this meeting, you will
receive your DVD with all your photos.
Printing of Storybooks takes 2-4
weeks. Whole process will take 18 weeks.
3. Do you have backup equipment?
Yes, every photographer must have doubles of everything. I have 2 Canon 5D bodies and enough lenses and flashes.
4. Do we get HIGH RESS photos?
Yes, you get the full quality photos on the DVD. 12 - 21 Mega Pixel. You can make your own reprints from the DVD/High Ress photos.
5. Can we provisionally book you?
Unfortunately not. I can’t keep dates open for anyone. Bookings can only be confirmed upon payment of the 50% deposit.
6. Do you host some photos on the Internet for us and our friends to view?
Yes, I will put 50-60 of your photos on this website four days after your wedding. You can then view some of your photos while you are on honeymoon and your friends can make some comments about your photos.
7. Will you give us direction on what to do during the photo shoot?
Yes, I (charl) believe that every photographer must give some direction during the photo session. Couples are very stressed during that day and can’t think of poses as well. The photographer is the professional and he knows what will look the best. He must also be able to capture those intimate moments that no one can pose.
8. Do you have a VIDEOGRAPHER working with you?
NO, I don’t have a videographer working with/for me. I have worked with a lot of different videographers in the past. Once you have booked me to photograph your wedding I can assist and supply a service providers list of some great service providers I have worked with at previous weddings.
9. How long does the photo session take?
